Genomics Research Theme
The Genomics Theme is the analytical engine of the MRC CoRE, providing a centralised, CoRE-wide toolkit and data framework.
The work includes two major strands:
First, to create decision-support tools and computational models to guide the therapeutic development efforts of the Blood, Brain, and Eye themes.
Second, to identify patients and genetic variants amenable to nucleic acid therapies - working closely with our PPIE Manager to develop effective and ethical communication with patients.
Our strategy is to 'plug into' and extend the established frameworks of key international partners, such as the N=1 Collaborative (N1C), rather than reinventing existing systems, ensuring that all CoRE research is grounded in robust, data-driven, and globally aligned approaches.
